How the $0.25 works
The fee customers pay. The fee you pay. Same number — never marked up.
You pay us $0.25 per order. You decide what your customer sees at checkout — anywhere from $0 (you absorb it) to $0.25 (full pass-through). You cannot mark it up. The platform fee is always $0.25 max so customers trust the experience across every cafe on Tany.

Volume Plan
High-volume cafes: $999 / mo flat.
If you're doing 8,000+ orders a month for two consecutive months, you can switch to the Volume Plan. Flat $999 CAD/month, unlimited orders, unlimited locations. Available by request.

Is the $0.25 on top of Square's processing fee?
Yes. Square charges its normal processing fee on the entire transaction (typically 2.65% + $0.10 for online card payments). Our $0.25 is separate — it's the platform service fee, paid to us monthly via Stripe.
Can I charge customers more than $0.25 to make money on the fee?
No. The customer-facing service fee is hard-capped at $0.25. You can charge less or absorb entirely, but never more. This protects customer trust across the platform.
What if my cafe does very few orders — under 100/month?
You pay $99 + the per-order fees. At 100 orders that's $124/mo. Per Diem's equivalent is $574 USD/mo (Pro) or roughly $200 CAD (Starter, with feature limits). Either way, we're cheaper.
What happens if I close my cafe or cancel?
30 days notice required. We export your customer data as CSV. Your Square data stays with you (we never owned it). Your customer-facing app is removed from the App Store. No long-term contract.
Can I move customer loyalty balances from my old app?
Yes. We import from CSV — Per Diem and most existing systems can export their loyalty database. We match customers by phone number on first sign-in and credit their balance automatically.
