For Customers (people using a Tany-powered app)

Why does the app ask for my phone number?
Sign-in uses a one-time SMS code — no password to remember or leak. Your phone number is also how the shop identifies you for loyalty rewards (so your stars/cherries/points add up across visits).
What's the service fee at checkout?
Tany charges a small platform fee per mobile order. It appears as a separate line item before you pay — never hidden. This is what keeps the shop's app running.
How do I delete my account?
Open the app → Account tab → Delete account. We remove your personal info within 30 days. Past order records may be kept (without your name/phone) for the 6 years Canadian tax law requires shops to retain transaction records.
Who do I contact about a refund or wrong order?
The shop you ordered from is the merchant of record — they handle refunds. Contact them directly (their info is on the order receipt). If you can't reach them, email [email protected] and we'll help reach the shop.
Why am I asked to sign up again on a different shop's app?
Each shop runs their own Tany app with separate customer accounts. Your loyalty balance, order history, and saved cards belong to that shop — not shared with other shops on the platform.

How fast can I launch my app?
24-48 hours from sign-up to TestFlight, once we have your Square account connected, logo + splash uploaded, and Apple Pay merchant ID set up. App Store review adds 1-3 business days for the public release.
Do my customers pay the service fee, or do I?
Your customers do — Tany adds the fee at checkout as a separate line item, so your menu prices stay exactly what you set. You can choose to absorb it instead in the dashboard (default: passed to the customer).
What does Tany charge me?
$99 CAD/month subscription, plus a small per-order fee your customers cover at checkout. Stripe handles billing. See pricing.
How do I change my menu?
Edit your menu in Square (your existing POS dashboard). Tany re-syncs every 5 minutes — most changes appear in customers' apps within minutes. For instant refresh, customers can pull-to-refresh.
What if I cancel?
Month-to-month. 30 days notice. We export your customer list as CSV before removing your app from the stores. You keep your Square data — we never owned it.
Can I send marketing emails?
Yes. Operator dashboard → Marketing → Email composer. Audience is your Square customers who opted into marketing in the app. We send through Resend on your behalf, branded as 'YourShop via Tany'.
Can I see who my customers are?
Yes — operator dashboard → Customers. Shows the customers who've placed mobile orders, their order count, and lifetime spend. Square POS in-store customers also appear once they've placed a mobile order.
